Giving Up On Doing Two Blogs

Okay, I’ll say it - uncle. I can’t keep two blogs up to date. Soon I’m going to work and move all the content on this blog back over to my other blog. So if you want to keep up with my random writings, you should subscribe to the feed over there or visit the site. I’ve posted my thoughts on Startup Riot over there already. More coming on post Startup Riot stuff over there as well.

Gifts for the VC You Love

So if you thought coming up with a company over a weekend was extreme, Andrew Hyde is upping the ante. During a plane flight they launched Startup Plane and came up with a new company - VCwear.com. They’ve even racked up a few sales apparently at $100/shirt. I told Andrew that I thought they could actually sell a bunch if they dropped the price but heck, what do I know.

Below are some of my favorite VCwear.com shirts. The first cause I like Snoop, the second would be better by changing “with” to “to”, and the third cause, well, it’s true. If they were cheaper I’d probably buy a few of the last one and send it to some “friends” of mine.

Changes Afoot at ATDC

ATDCI’d heard rumblings of this before but now the news is out. Tony Antoniades is leaving ATDC to join Autotrader. I don’t have many more details than what is in this blog post by Lance. Good luck Tony in the new position!

XPLANE Yourself!

XPLANEI caught this little tidbit of news and was pleasantly surprised. You say you don’t know XPLANE? Well, there is a lot of info around about them but I know them from the awesome graphics they’ve done for some of the magazines that I read. Now that XPLANE has an office in Atlanta, I hope they can make a dent in the bad presentations that happen here (mine included). I’m not sure what they charge for their work, but I’d love to have their help with a number of things I’m working on.  While we all try to figure out how to pay for their services, make sure you read the Presentation Zen blog which provides great commentary on good and bad presentation design.

Oh yeah, welcome to Atlanta XPLANE!
