I'd love to join you, maybe on an evening or weekend sometime. I'm "raising startup capital" at a 9-5 until the end of the summer. Octane is a great place, but yeah, parking is a problem. As of a year or so they had bottomless cups of regular coffee and a great grilled cheese with pesto.

I will be out of town on both of those dates, but definitely let me know about any upcoming events. I am a big fan of meeting in midtown for an upcoming event.

Jeremy - cool. BTW, if you want to sponsor an Open Bar event, I'll definitely publicize it and attend (don't worry, I won't run up the tab much - I'm not a big drinker). Just make sure you bring your Black AMEX to the event cause I think other attendees might be big drinkers. ;-)

I'll definitely try to make the Intermezzo one. Another idea is Fado, which I believe has free wifi and is good for groups - although is that really open coffee? Perhaps it could be an Open Stout event, or maybe Open Tap. Open Bar would be nice, but I don't see that happening =)

Nah, that's a good point, the parking is pretty bad. I have to park along the road or behind it usually.

Joe - the problem I find with Octane is the parking. Perhaps I didn't see the right area the last time I went but it appears that there are only a handful of spots out front. Happy to do one there if there is enough demand but it isn't high on my personal list.

Octane might be a good option, though I don't know how crowded they get during the day. Free wifi plus very good coffee AND beer. Right near Georgia Tech:
